CashCluster user interface is by design optimized for touch screen, with easy to navigate main menu selection buttons. Deposits or withdrawals (where supported by the smart safe features) produce detailed receipt with unique id# which may be traced by the Cash Management Network (CMN) System administrators.
Armored courier cash offloading
CashCluster is managing the secure cash offloading process, with tickets printed for armored courier. In case of bags used as cash transfer media, a ticket with full cash inventory details is dropped into the bag, before the sealing process.
Bag or cassette media id# is captured via barcode scanning and is embedded in the associated financial transaction data, ensuring end-to-end cash transportation traceability.
Multiple Merchants
Multiple merchants access in each virtual cash safe
CashCluster virtual capabilities allow hosting more than one merchant service contracts in a single Cash Smart Safe device. This is a must have feature in case of shopping malls, where there are RCC contracts with a number of merchant retail outlets. All merchants are fully isolated by each other, in terms of users/supervisors and associated cash transactions. Each merchant retains his own virtual cash inventory in the safe. Apart from the armored courier, there is no user having extended visibility across all merchants, as the overall smart safe cash inventory. Merchant contracts may be temporarily disabled or enabled, by the CMN admins.
Multivendor Cash Smart Safe support architecture
In the context of multivendor support for the Cash Smart Safe devices, CashCluster may define in detail the device features and capabilities profile (re: number of bags/cassettes, drums, cash bundling capability, withdrawal and escrow capability and limits, etc.). By the time more devices sourced by different manufacturers are added to the CashCluster platform.
Application Update
On-line application updates
The Cash Smart Safe device CashCluster application is automatically enrolled in a web updates subscription, for new version updates and functionality enhancements. It is integral part of the application, the intelligence to detect and download (certified and secure) updates silently.
Retail Cash Optimized
Role-based users ecosystem
CashCluster is role-based, recognizing different user roles with distinct responsibilities.
It is the "depositor" with sole functionality the cash deposits. The "cashier" who may also execute withdrawals, subject to the established device and merchant safety limits. Prior two roles may only execute financial transaction, provided that Merchant "Supervisor" has opened a "shift". Last but not least, is the "CIT" role, who may offload cash from the system, replacing the bag or cassette media.
Each user, upon Sign-In, is provided with a customized menu of available operations, reflecting his own role profile for device access and functionality. Users may be temporarily disabled or enabled, by the CMN admins.
Embedded synchronization agent
On-line to cloud-based CMN System
CashCluster is using the smart safe device standard internet connection to establish on-line communication with the cloud based CMN System. This enables mutual synchronization between the smart safe and the CMN System.
Continuous Synchronization
The central system is acquiring and storing permanently, in the central Database, all smart safe financial transactions (re: deposits, withdrawals, cash offload), as well as all user activities and events (re: sign in/out, report retrieval, bag/cassette replacement, system status, system shutdown and power-up, etc.). They are accessible for retrieval any time by the CMN System users or any authorized RCC contract stakeholders, such as the Merchant, the Bank and the CIT (armored courier service). By side they are used in automated notification processes and reports, as the daily reporting towards the Bank and the CIT notification for cash pick-up.
Smart-Safe profile uploading
CashCluster, in the context of synchronization process, downloads automatically from the CMN System, key information such as authorized users data, hosted merchant profiles, as well as device features and security options imposed by stakeholder's administrators.
"Resilient" to erratic comms
Synchronization process is fault-tolerant, able to cope with temporary unavailability of internet connection or potential erratic behavior. Data transmission is performed via secure, encrypted and authenticated connection.
Outmost Security
Security options and smart safe features profiling
CashCluster is acknowledging the cash limits and other security framework elements imposed by the bank and/or the armored courier service, as they are reflected in their own insurance contracts.
Configurable by Bank and CIT
Therefore it is configurable by the CMN System, Bank or CIT administrators, the cash upper limit for the smart safe contents, as well as the maximum accepted cash value contained in the transportation media (re: bags or cassettes).
Extensible security & safety profile
Subject to Cash Smart Safe device type and features, there are also a number of additional configurable options available.
